Your Role: Director, Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) As a core member of the Site Leadership Team, the Director MS&T will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing site strategy. This role requires an enterprise mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and a relentless focus on technical excellence and continuous improvement. You will inspire others to challenge the status quo, support their development, and lead the technical oversight of new and existing processes at the manufacturing site. The position partners closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Technical Services and Manufacturing Science (TSMS) teams locally and globally to ensure alignment with business plans and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing & Technical Services Oversight Ensure all products and manufacturing processes are controlled, capable, compliant, and continuously improved. Support the external manufacturing network to meet global Quality and Contract Manufacturing Standards. Ensure appropriate technical (TSMS) capabilities are present across designated internal manufacturing sites. New Product Commercialisation Drive robust implementation and seamless handovers as per the manufacturability review process. Ensure technical capabilities are aligned for successful commercial handover and lifecycle support. Oversee the installation and maintenance of manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle. Business Development & Acquisition Support Evaluate technical strengths and gaps in potential acquisitions or business opportunities. Contribute to the development of technical and quality agreements. Review and approve technical transfer plans and other key technical elements in acquisition strategies. Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration Collaborate with the wider TSMS network to build and strengthen technical talent pipelines. Align with R&D functions to ensure adequate technical support for commercialisation. Contribute to the broader site strategy in partnership with the Site Leadership Team. Your Background: Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years in senior technical services roles within pharmaceutical manufacturing. Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific/technical discipline. Proven experience in project management. Technical Competencies Lean Manufacturing: Working knowledge of Lean tools; Green Belt certification preferred. Process Expertise: Familiar with fermentation, spray drying, and feed additive premixing. Technology Transfer: Leads product transfers into and out of the site. Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements process enhancements. Technical Stewardship: Optimises cost, yield, and efficiency; manages validations.
