Health & Safety Manager
Our client are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join our manufacturing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety program that ensures compliance with all relevant legislation and promotes a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain a robust health and safety management system that aligns with industry best practices and legal requirements.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
* Manage and maintain all health and safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and records.
* Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organisation.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.
* Monitor and report on key health and safety performance indicators.
* Manage the facilities and estates aspects of the organisation, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and facilities management.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on health and safety matters.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
* Manage the budget for health, safety, and facilities-related activities.
Ideal Candidate:
* NEBOSH Diploma - level 6
* 5 years experience in FMCG or similar
* A minimum of 3 years experience - Estate & Facilities Management
* ISO Lead Auditor (Desirable)
* Thorough understanding of H&S standards & legislation
* Able to manage and maintain risk assessments, processes and systems - PUWER, PPE, audits, Asbestos, work permits, COSHH, fire safety and safe systems of work ect.
* Great communication skills at all levels
