DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Project Manager Assistant to work for our growing construction company. Someone who can fit in a professional, yet casual atmosphere.
This position will have the following responsibilities:
1. Assisting the Project Manager in planning, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcomes of assigned construction projects.
2. Representing the company professionally with subcontractors, clients, owners, or landlord contacts.
3. Proactively solving problems with a hands-on approach.
4. Preparing reports for Project Managers on the status of all services provided for specific projects.
5. Assisting in coordinating all personnel: vendors, contractors, etc., necessary to complete the project.
6. Gathering, reviewing, qualifying, and distributing submittals.
7. Understanding and enforcing company safety rules and procedures.
8. Maintaining records and logs, filing.
9. Participating in subcontractor and owner meetings.
10. Preparing and delivering close-out and owner’s manuals.
To qualify for the position of Project Manager Assistant, you MUST have the following abilities:
1. Experience in the construction field.
2. Proficiency in MS Office products.
3. Understanding of technology as required (use of cell phones, digital cameras, email, and computer proficiency).
4. Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize work.
5. Enthusiastic and professional demeanor.
6. Superior communication and organizational skills.
7. Knowledge of principles of project management for building construction, including theory, principles, and practices of engineering and architecture related to design and construction.
8. Proven ability to assist in managing multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
