About the Court of Protection Team:
The specialist Court of Protection Team provides tailored legal advice and support for individuals with diminished mental capacity, often following traumatic brain injuries. The team prides itself on its empathetic, client-centric approach, focusing on protecting clients' best interests through guidance on deputyship applications, statutory wills, and property & affairs management.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
As an Associate Solicitor, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to secure the best outcomes for clients regarding their private property and financial affairs. Your role involves supporting experienced lawyers on complex deputyship cases while managing your own caseload. This environment offers valuable experience and confidence-building opportunities at a manageable pace.
You will receive extensive mentoring and support to establish yourself as a trusted expert in this area of law and to take on greater responsibilities within the team.
What We Look For:
A qualified NQ+ Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Court of Protection matters.
A calm demeanour under pressure, with a proactive work approach and ability to support colleagues.
Strong numeracy skills, accuracy, and comfort with budgets and accounts.
Empathy and confidence in engaging with vulnerable individuals and their families.
Excellent relationship-building skills and collaboration ability.
