The Dyson Farming Research Centre at Nocton is our 1,000-acre farm dedicated to agricultural innovation— where pioneering research will meets practical application. It will play a central role in advancing Dyson Farming’s mission to revolutionise food production through science, technology, and sustainability.
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Foreman to join our team and play a key role in delivering the crop trials and research projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled trials crop operator ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be at the forefront of our research operations, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, precision-led trials that support the future of sustainable agriculture.
Requirements
* Responsible for executing establishment and crop management applications across multiple farm-scale sites involving field, tramline and plot scale research projects.
* Experienced with crop establishment and spraying operations with a high attention to detail.
* Able to effectively communicate your experiences to diverse stakeholder groups.
* Ensuring timely delivery of all field trial work against the agreed protocols.
* Perform routine maintenance and manage related administrative tasks.
* Demonstrate a proactive attitude and commitment to health and safety.
* Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks
Person Specification
* Experienced in working in an agricultural environment.
* Good level of understanding of agriculture practice.
* Previous trial crop experience is an advantage.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Good IT skills and accurate record keeping.
* Good communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
* An understanding of precision farming and modern agricultural machinery.
