Salary:£30,915 to £41,085 per annum (DOE and Qualifications)

About the Role
* EHCP Coordination & Key Worker Role – Act as key worker for EHCP learners, leading assessment, planning, monitoring and annual reviews to ensure statutory compliance, Section F alignment and positive outcomes.
* SEND Assessment, Support & Intervention – Conduct SEND/EHCP assessments, develop and review Individual Support Plans, and deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions to support academic progress, wellbeing and independence.
* Line Management & Deployment of LSPs – Line manage Learning Support Practitioners, overseeing timetabling, deployment, performance reviews, cover arrangements and professional development to ensure effective, needs‑led support.
* Collaboration, Transition & Partnerships – Work closely with curriculum staff, parents/carers, feeder schools, Local Authorities and external agencies to support transitions, communication and inclusive practice.
* Quality, Inclusion & On‑Site Leadership – Act as on‑site ALS lead for a remote setting, champion inclusive practice, monitor quality and impact, maintain accurate records, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD requirements.
About You
* Qualifications & Professional Development – GCSE English and maths (A–C / Level 2), Level 3 qualification, with willingness to undertake specialist SEND training (e.g. ELSA) and progress towards a Level 5 leadership or SEND‑related qualification.
* SEND & FE Knowledge – Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, post‑16 education pathways, safeguarding, equality, diversity and confidentiality, with experience supporting learners with SEND in an FE or related setting.
* Learner Support & Communication – Skilled in one‑to‑one learner support, producing professional reports, and communicating effectively with students, parents, staff and external agencies while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
* Organisation, IT & Collaboration – Highly organised with excellent IT, administrative and record‑keeping skills, able to prioritise workload, work under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate effectively across college teams.
