Your New Role
As the Resident Safety Support Officer, you will support the wider Resident Safety team in delivering essential fire safety and building safety functions. You will assist withpliance activities, help coordinate fire risk assessment actions, and play an important role in maintaining accurate safety information for residents and internal teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the delivery of fire safety processes and resident safety procedures
2. Assisting with the coordination and monitoring of fire risk assessment programmes
3. Tracking and recording follow ‑ up actions arising from FRAs
4. Assisting with the creation, updating, and monitoring of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for residents who require individual evacuation support
5. Working with housing and resident-facing teams to gather information for PEEPs and ensure these documents remain accurate and up to date
6. Maintaining accurate safety and pliance records in relevant systems
7. Supporting resident engagement activities by helpingmunicate key safety messages
8. Providing general administrative andpliance support to the Resident Safety Managers
9. Ensuring all documentation is stored, maintained, and updated in line with regulatory requirements
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
10. A Fire Risk Assessment Level 2 qualification or a NEBOSH General Certificate
11. Experience working in housing, pliance, building safety, facilities, or a similar operational environment
12. An understanding of fire safety and building safety responsibilities within residential settings
13. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage data accurately
14. Goodmunication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with residents and colleagues
15. A proactive, detail ‑ focused approach and a mitment to maintaining high standards of safety
