The Role
This unique opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled Registered Manager ready to build the service from the ground up. You will lead with integrity and innovation, setting gold standards for care, compliance, and child development tailored to those with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the Ofsted registration and successful launch of the home.
* Recruit and mentor a dedicated staff team committed to child-centred, trauma-informed care.
* Develop and implement therapeutic practices that support young people with learning disabilities.
* Ensure compliance with all regulations, safeguarding standards, and quality assurance processes.
* Collaborate with owners and education services to provide holistic support.
* Build strong systems for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the service.
* Promote a positive, inclusive ethos with a focus on children’s well-being and development.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
* Recent experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager in children’s residential care.
* Proven expertise supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* Understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and therapeutic care approaches.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Experience launching or managing small homes.
* Knowledge of education and social care compliance frameworks.
