Make a real impact as a GCSE English Tutor
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH needs? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor. You'll provide personalised 1:1 support in English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Sidcup offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
Job Details
* Location: Sidcup (in-person)
* Hours: 1 hour per week
* Days and Times: Monday, Wednesday, or Friday evening
* Subject and Level: GCSE English
* Pay: £32.50 p/h
* Start date: W/C 3rd November 2025
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
* Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
* Assess any barriers to student's learning and work to overcome these
* Monitor student progress and produce reports
* Create a positive and supportive learning environment
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you’re providing subject tuition in
* Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
* Ability to work with students of all abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Right to be self-employed in the UK
