Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals from base and raw ingredients.
* Support Catering Supervisors with daily supervision of staff.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained.
* Assist in meeting nutritional, dietary, clinical, religious, and cultural requirements.
Experience
* Experience of catering for large numbers.
* Experience of catering in a health care setting.
Allergens
* Allergy Awareness Qualification.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of food production, recipes, and quantities.
* Experience or knowledge of supervising.
* Knowledge of COSHH.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or equivalent.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or work toward on commencement).
* Patisserie qualifications desirable.
* COSHH Qualification.
Requirements
* Good teamwork, leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised, flexible approach to shift changes.
* Friendly and professional approach.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English speakers welcome.
Working Hours, Contract & Benefits
We are offering a permanent contract of employment. Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, covering a combination of shifts to cover where needed on a rota that includes bank holidays and weekends.
