Assurance Manager

The Team

Join our Quality, Safety & Improvements Team, part of the central Ground Operations function. This team manages and sets the policies and procedures for safety, readiness, regulatory compliance, training, and continuous improvement in Ground Operations, supporting a safe and on-time operation.


The Role

As Assurance Manager, you’ll lead the development, management, and execution of the quality assurance programme for ground operations. You’ll ensure operational activities meet regulatory, contractual, and internal standards, and drive corrective actions to enhance service delivery and safety outcomes.


What you’ll be doing:

* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (EASA, UK CAA), internal policies, and contractual obligations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
* Support integration of new systems and processes, ensuring regulatory and internal compliance
* Produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards for senior management
* Attend and prepare for internal and external audits, leading documentation and evidence gathering
* Ensure departmental manuals are compliant and drive improvements with leadership
* Liaise with ground operations delivery teams, ground handlers, and partners to communicate standards and improvement plans
* Support contract management through quality performance reviews and feedback
* Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous learning
* Oversee departmental standards assurance programmes, Bird strike Management LTD Station assessments, DAQCP audit programme, and centrally contracted activities
* Deliver the potable water policy with cabin appearance and Ground Ops teams
* Respond to external audit findings and report on delivery of the GO GOS SLA
* Act as relationship manager for Safety Culture


What we’re looking for

* 3–5 years’ experience in aviation ground operations quality, audit, or compliance roles
* Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and quality standards
* Proven experience in audit planning, execution, and corrective action management
* Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage stakeholders
* Detail‑oriented with excellent organisational and project management abilities
* Experience working with third‑party contractors and multi‑site operations
* Relevant quality or audit qualifications (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF, Six Sigma) are advantageous

Practicalities

This full‑time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
