About The Role
Activities Assistant
Pay rate: £12.30 per hour
Hours: Full time, 36hours per week (to include alternate weekend working)
Come and join our brand-new team at Care South, Marjorie House - a spectacular 50 bed specialist dementia and residential care home in Lilliput, Poole.
Our new purpose-built Art Deco building in Lilliput has stunning views over Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.
You’ll be able to support our residents in a safe and caring environment where they can live their lives as if in the comfort of their own home.

What you will be doing:
* Providing a range of imaginative and enjoyable social & therapeutic activities to our residents, some of whom are living with dementia.
* Support an ongoing calendar of social events & activities for residents - covering key events and also our residents personal interests.
* Liaise with suppliers, ordering materials, buying tickets, booking transport and arranging outings; to include the wider care team and friends & family of residents if appropriate.
* Researching and implementing new ideas, events & activities.

We want you to be social and outgoing with excellent communication skills – together with the ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds.
You need to display excellent time management and the ability to prioritise important tasks.
