The Autism Service is a private psychology-led diagnostic assessment service for children and adults with ASD and ADHD. With NHS waiting lists across the UK at an all time high, we provide an option for people who want to be seen quickly. We run from 30 locations across England and Wales and have a reputation for producing the highest quality assessments.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the administrative team at our head office in Shrewsbury. You will work as part of a small team scheduling appointments for our patients and being their main point of contact. You will interface with the wider team of 80 plus clinicians on a daily basis. We are a friendly, hard working group and the ability to respond quickly, juggle competing priorities, and be a team player are a must.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an Assessment Coordinator on a full-time basis to join the existing team, working from our head office in Shrewsbury. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced office environment, stay calm under pressure, and perform tasks accurately, and have a high level of organisation and IT skills. Previous experience of the NHS or working in a healthcare setting is desirable.
The administrative team works directly alongside the director of the company to innovate and improve; your ideas, contributions and suggestions are not only welcomed, but are encouraged. In this fast growing business, there is no limit to your personal and professional development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Creating clinic availability and booking rooms
* Scheduling appointments
* Managing a caseload of patients
* Monitoring the progress of assessments
* Liaising with patients and clinicians (phone and email)
* Formatting and checking assessment reports
* Completing audits of metrics that measure quality
* Accurate recording of patient data and contact
* Working in line with the values of the company and promoting excellence
* Managing customer service issues
* Clear communication, particular with patients who may have mental health needs
* Working as part of a team at all times
* Using software, such as Egress and Adobe to protect patient data
PERSON SPECIFICATION CRITERIA
Essential:
* Experience: Customer service experience (1+ year preferred), administrative experience (1+ years preferred).
* Skills: Excellent communication (verbal & written), problem-solving, active listening, IT proficiency, time management, interpersonal skills, adaptability, attention to detail.
* Attributes: Positive, empathetic, resilient, team player, committed to improvement.
Desirable:
* Experience: Administrative experience within the NHS or an equivalent service.
* IT Skills: Proficient with Google Workspace and applications such as Adobe.
