As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain on task and complete pre-set work in a positive learning environment. Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absences across different subjects Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions Ensure students remain engaged and focused on their work Maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students with classroom tasks where required Report any issues or concerns to teaching staff Create a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment Assist with general school duties when necessary Requirements of a Cover Supervisor: Experience working with young people is desirable Confidence in managing a classroom independently Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments A proactive, reliable, and professional approach A genuine interest in education and student development An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
