Technical Coordinator Introduction A leading 5-star housebuilder based in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join its dynamic team. Known for delivering high-quality residential developments, the company is committed to excellence in design and construction. This role is central to the successful delivery of projects, ensuring that all technical information is accurately coordinated and communicated across internal departments and external consultants. The successful candidate will have several years of experience in housebuilding as a Technical Coordinator and will report directly to the Technical Manager and Technical Director. Acting as the key link between leadership and the technical team, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained and information is issued promptly to facilitate smooth site starts. The role of a Technical Coordinator Comply with the company Life of Sire processes Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the design and construction phases. Coordinate and chair design team meetings with internal and external participants Coordinate the planning process where required and review planning approval to ensure conditions are addressed before starting on site Agree construction specification, SAP, and beam strategy for the project Coordinate the submission of a Building Control application and supporting documentation Assist Commercial and Buying teams in the review and approval of subcontractor design information Ensure cost-effective design control and buildability Maintain and manage all current drawings/documents/information for all new build contracts on the Viewpoint Platform Review and check contract documentation, warranties, and bond requirements in liaison with the Contracts Manager Apply for and secure statutory body approval of the Engineering Design and ground remediation Attend site visits and meetings to solve issues that arise during the construction process Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Coordinator within the housebuilding industry Behave in line with company values Full UK driving licence Project management and supervision skills Strong attention to detail Ability to confidently challenge decisions made by others Ability to communicate well with individuals at all levels Proficient in MS Office programmes Benefits Up to £55k Salary (DOE) £5.5k car allowance 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension & healthcare
