This company delivers bespoke technology solutions and services to clients across the world. Through growth and a restructure in the business, they are looking for a R&D Team Lead to head up the department.
In this role, you will engage with customers to understand their software and hardware requirements while creating a specification that will fit their needs. You will then lead the project and develop the product, while leading a small team and collaborating with other departments within the business.
The ideal candidate will be someone who loves the technology market, enjoys staying up to date with what the big developers are offering, and stays ahead of the curve. You will have R&D experience within software/tech/hardware, as well as people management and project management skills.

The Role:
1. Be the technical expert, engaging with clients to understand their hardware and software requirements
2. Specification development for clients, managing projects from start to completion
3. Leading a small team within the R&D department
4. Collaboration with Design Engineer, Compliance & Product Lifecycle teams
5. Maintaining accurate documentation & reporting
6. Site based in Emersons Green, Bristol, with flexible working available
The Person:
1. Strong understanding of hardware, software & system architecture
2. Strong leadership and people management experience
3. Strong project management skills covering the full life-cycle
4. Enjoy staying up to date with the latest technologies and staying ahead of the curve
5. Experience within Research & Development
