About the Role
Work pattern will be 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.00pm Friday, matching the office opening hours.
As Assistant Administrator, you will work under the direction of the Programme Administrator and, as a member of the team, contribute to delivering a customer‑focused, cost‑effective, and efficient administrative support service.
We are looking for candidates with prior experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role – although it is not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to multitask and prioritise effectively are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. You should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment will be key attributes for this role.

What We’re Looking For
You will have:
* Experience operating effectively as a member of an administrative team within a customer service environment
* A flexible and resilient attitude in an ever‑changing environment, alongside organisation skills and excellent IT skills (including spreadsheets and databases)
* The ability to proactively identify and seek resolutions to problems, and work within tight deadlines
* Good communication skills
* Team‑work and data reporting are essential
Experience working in a medical or education function/environment (or equivalent) would be desirable.
You will be based at the student‑facing Faculty Office in the John Bull Building (University North Campus), although occasional travel to other sites (primarily Portland Square, Main Campus) may be required.
