Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Architect to lead architectural projects from conception through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design, construction, and project management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
Lead the design process using advanced software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and SketchUp to develop detailed architectural plans and visualisations. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively. Oversee the preparation of technical documentation and construction drawings for various phases of development. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design elements into construction phases. Utilise project management tools to monitor progress and maintain clear communication across teams. Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Apply expertise in joinery and construction techniques to optimise design feasibility and functionality. Stay updated on industry trends and innovative technologies such as 3ds and Adobe Creative Suite for presentation purposes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Architect or similar senior role within a recognised architecture practice. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of construction processes, joinery techniques, and project management methodologies. Excellent negotiation skills for client interactions and contractor negotiations. Experience with NavisWorks for clash detection and project coordination. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications accurately. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. A recognised architecture qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
