ROLE - VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Richard Abson Group is currently assisting a Prestige Dealership in Chelmsford in their search for a Vehicle Technician. This opportunity is suitable for a qualified Technician or someone aspiring to enter the main dealership environment and develop their career. With training at some of the industry's best facilities, you'll acquire new skills and become an expert. The company offers a basic salary of 35k with the potential to earn up to or above 42k with commissions.
Daily responsibilities
1. Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs, adhering to manufacturer standards to ensure safety and reliability.
2. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or needed replacements.
3. Provide technical advice to customers, ensuring clear and professional communication.
4. Maintain high customer service standards to foster trust, repeat business, and referrals.
5. Collaborate with the service reception team and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
6. Support and guide fellow Technicians in the workshop, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
The ideal candidate will have
1. NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification.
2. Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.
3. Strong problem-solving skills with accuracy in all work aspects.
4. Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Ability to work well within a team environment.
6. A current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.
7. A full UK driving licence is required.
