The Role
We're looking for a strategic leader to drive significant revenue and business growth. You'll be responsible for market analysis, identifying new opportunities, and reporting sales progress directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and business growth objectives.
* Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performance sales team, ensuring both you and they meet and exceed sales targets.
* Create and manage the annual sales budget in conjunction with the Managing Director, including resource allocation, pricing strategies, and profit targets.
* Implement effective sales training and coaching to enhance the team's skills in areas like consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship building.
* Oversee marketing and bid/tender management to ensure a cohesive commercial approach.
Business Development & Client Management
* Identify and target new business opportunities by analysing market trends and understanding competitor activities.
* Personally lead and close high-value deals with major clients, building and maintaining strong relationships at the executive level.
* Cultivate and manage key client relationships, focusing on upsell, cross-sell, and long-term contract renewals.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and generate new leads.
Operational & Reporting
* Utilise CRM tools to manage sales pipelines, track performance, and generate accurate sales forecasts.
* Provide regular, data-driven reports to senior leadership on sales performance, market insights, and strategic progress.
* Collaborate with the Operations/Service Delivery team to ensure that sales promises are deliverable.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be an established professional with the following:
* Proven Industry Expertise: Significant sales experience in the B2B integrated FM sector, including bid/tender management and experience with PQQs, RFPs, and tender submissions. An established network of FM clients and decision-makers is essential.
* Demonstrated Success: A track record of success in increasing revenue and profitability, with the ability to evidence the impact of your activities.
* Strong Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to shape and implement a sales team and its targets to benefit the company's visio.
* Strategic Acumen: The ability to analyse market trends, set price points to maximise conversion while maintaining profitability, and identify new markets to increase market share.
* Essential Skills: Demonstrable sales, negotiation, and closing skills. A solid understanding of business principles and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Essential Requirements: Must hold a full, clean UK driver's license.
