Finance Manager

My client, a premier supplier of commercial catering equipment are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing business.
Responsibilities:
Recording Financial Transactions
* Enter daily financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
* Track incoming payments (accounts receivable).
* Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers.
* Monitor overdue invoices and follow up on collections.
* Record and schedule outgoing payments (accounts payable).
* Reconcile vendor statements.
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
* Match transactions in accounting records with bank statements.
* Investigate discrepancies or missing entries.
Payroll Support
* Process payroll (if not outsourced).
* Maintain employee wage records.
* Calculate and record payroll taxes and deductions.
Financial Reporting
* Generate basic financial reports (e.g., income statement, balance sheet).
* Provide reports for management review.
Budget Monitoring
* Track spending against budget.
* Assist management with forecasting and budget adjustments.
Tax Preparation Assistance
* Prepare documentation for accountants or tax advisors.
* Ensure records are organized for end-of-year tax filings.
* May file VAT/GST or sales tax returns, depending on jurisdiction and company size.
Compliance and Record-Keeping
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Maintain proper records for audits or financial reviews.
* Safeguard financial documents and back up data.
General Office & Administrative Support
* Sometimes includes clerical or office management duties, especially in very small businesses.
Qualifications:
* AAT Qualified (not essential, but would be nice)
* Institute of Certified Bookkeepers accredited
