About the role
NFU Mutual is embracing a digital transformation, and we’re looking for a skilled Digital Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering customer-focused solutions across our digital platforms. Sitting within our Group IT division, this is an exciting opportunity to influence how we understand, design, and improve our customer journeys. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and customer-centric Digital Business Analyst to join a forward-thinking team.
In this role, you’ll be focused on delivering brand-new digital products, while also contributing to Business-as-Usual services. Working closely with product owners, solution designers, and other stakeholders, you’ll break down business requirements into deliverable components, define processes, and support user story development. You’ll also play a key part in mapping out the customer journey, helping ensure any product changes or new features meet business needs and enhance the user experience.
We’re on a journey to evolve our digital capabilities and are looking for someone who can help shape and embed that transformation across the business, always keeping the customer at the centre.
About you
You’re an experienced Business Analyst who can see the bigger picture and translate it into actionable outcomes. Comfortable balancing project and operational work, you combine analytical thinking with a strong understanding of the customer experience. We’re looking for a strong communicator with a collaborative mindset and a passion for driving meaningful digital change.
You will also:
* Have worked within a digital (desirable) or customer-facing environments, with experience of business analysis across the full software development lifecycle, both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with a desire to work more iteratively (Scrum/Kanban).
* Skilled in customer journeys and process mapping, requirements elicitation, creating user stories, and supporting value case definition.
* Confident working with diverse stakeholders including product owners, solution designers, and operational teams. A strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable bridging business and technical teams.
* An appreciation for technology (highly desirable) and experience of using collaboration tools like Azure DevOps (desirable), or similar tools like Jira.
* Experience in an Insurance, investments, and pensions environment (desirable).
* Degree, ISEB, or other formal analysis/business analysis qualifications or equivalent industry experience (desirable).
Internally, this role is known as Business Analyst.
