Adults Social Worker – Mental Health Supported Accommodation
This is a permanent, full‑time role based in Colchester (with potential to work county‑wide). Salary: £37,185 to £50,081 per annum. Working style: community‑based. Closing date: 23 November 2025.
About The Role
You will work within the Mental Health Supported Accommodation Model, supporting individuals with complex mental health difficulties who are currently living in one of our supported living schemes. The role involves partnering closely with our EPUT and housing teams, building strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community, and ensuring statutory care and safeguarding duties are met.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting assessments, reviews and support planning in accordance with the Care Act.
* Providing person‑centred support to help service users achieve greater independence.
* Traveling across Essex to work at supported living schemes, community sites and the local office.
* Chairing meetings when required and developing collaborative frameworks with partners.
* Maintaining a clear record of care work and safeguarding concerns.

About You
We’re looking for a post‑ASYE Social Worker who is registered with Social Work England and brings a blend of creativity, reliability and practical ability. You should have:
* A broad understanding of statutory responsibilities and a commitment to meeting them in a person‑centred way.
* Experience chairing meetings and building strong relationships with partner agencies.
* A valid driving licence and access to a car (or other means to meet mobility requirements).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
