Contract Project Planner – Nuclear Sector Location: Dungeness, Kent (Minimum 3 days on-site per week) Contract Role ⚛️ Previous nuclear experience preferred We’re recruiting on behalf of a key client in the UK nuclear decommissioning space for an experienced Project Planner to join their team at Dungeness. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting complex project delivery within the Project Management Office in close partnership with Nuclear Restoration Services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in one of the UK’s most critical and technically complex sectors, contributing to nuclear decommissioning efforts that shape the future of energy and environmental safety. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage robust project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with project scope, delivery strategy, and contractual requirements. Support the development and maintenance of Project Management Baselines (PMBs) and planning documentation. Conduct quality assurance checks on schedule outputs, including assessment using industry metrics (e.g. DCMA 14-point analysis). Translate scope into effective contract delivery and planning strategies. Provide planning support on NEC contracts, assisting with contract administration and commercial inputs as required. Engage with multiple stakeholders including project managers, commercial teams, and client representatives to ensure accurate and timely planning inputs. Ideal Candidate Proven experience in project planning within complex or highly regulated environments (nuclear experience strongly preferred). Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Familiar with NEC contract administration and commercial awareness within project environments. Comfortable working on-site at least three days per week at Dungeness.
