Ready to grow your marketing career? Join CodeBase as a Marketing Assistant. Write blogs, case studies and campaign content that supports startup growth. 4-day week, £26,250. Apply now!
We’re looking for an early-career content professional with approximately 1 year of experience who’s ready for more ownership. You’ve likely worked in a structured marketing environment, agency, in‑house team, or scale‑up where briefs, deadlines and quality matter. You’re confident writing across formats, understand how content supports commercial outcomes, and are ready to take on more responsibility with support rather than supervision. This isn’t a graduate trainee role. It’s for someone who has learned the fundamentals and now wants to consolidate their craft, contribute meaningfully to cross‑functional work, and grow within a collaborative, ambitious team. You’ll be part of a marketing team of 7 people and work closely with colleagues across the organisation – many of whom are not marketing specialists – helping shape ideas into clear, structured and impactful content.
What you will be doing
* Writing blogs, thought leadership and long‑form content
* Developing case studies and impact stories
* Creating sales and pitch materials (presentations, one‑pagers, brochures)
* Drafting website and campaign copy
* Interviewing stakeholders and turning conversations into structured content
* Editing and refining content for clarity, tone and consistency
* Working within brand guidelines and messaging frameworks
* Translating complex programmes into accessible, compelling narratives
* Supporting the creation of clear creative briefs
* Managing your own workload across multiple briefs and deadlines
* Collaborating closely with the Content & Design Assistant to bring content to life
You’ll be expected to take briefs, ask intelligent questions, and steadily reduce the amount of revision needed as you grow into the role.
Visit our website for further details and to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early application is recommended.
What will you get?
* £26,250 per annum.
* 4‑day working week / 28 hours per week (please note that this role will require out of hours working from time to time for which you will receive time off in lieu).
* 23 days holiday + 2 weeks off over Christmas and New Year.
* 10% employer pension contribution on Qualifying Earnings.
* 12 weeks maternity or paternity leave at full pay.
* Bupa private medical and dental insurance.
* Income protection insurance, death in service insurance, and critical illness insurance.
The deadline is Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 17:00.
