This is a hands-on role within a close-knit night operations team, where youll primarily operate a loading shovel while supporting the wider plant operation and rail unloading activities across Botley.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, values teamwork and wants to build long-term skills within an essential industry. Youll have the chance to learn additional areas of the operation, including asphalt plant activities and rail unloading, with full training provided.
Overtime is regularly available, offering strong earning potential alongside development opportunities within the business.What You'll Be DoingOperating loading shovel and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently to support site operationsProviding relief cover for rail unloading activities at Botley and Eastleigh depots (full training provided)Supporting housekeeping, cleanliness and general site standards across the plantCommunicating closely with the wider night shift team to support production requirementsReporting defects, safety concerns or operational issues to site managementWho You AreYou have a strong awareness of health, safety and environmental standardsYoure reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a small night shift teamYoure comfortable following written instructions and using basic IT systemsYou hold a full UK driving licence, as travel between Botley and Eastleigh may be requiredExperience operating mobile plant machinery is helpful, but not essential as full training will be providedYoure flexible and open to learning new skills, including rail unloading and asphalt operationsWe are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
