Technical Support Engineer
Location: Broughton (on‑site)
Hours: 35 hours per week, 4.5‑day pattern (between 7am-7pm)
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

Join Us as a Technical Support Engineer. We're partnering with Airbus to find a proactive Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy solving technical problems, supporting continuous improvement, and working close to production teams, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in one of the UK's most advanced aerospace facilities.
You'll play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly by resolving technical issues, supporting shop‑floor teams, and contributing to operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing hands‑on technical support to resolve issues such as missing parts, non‑conformities, concessions, outstanding work and tooling matters.
* Supporting work‑order management, including out‑of‑cycle tasks and identifying blocked work orders.
* Escalating issues to specialist teams (Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP and Outstanding Work) when required.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
* Contributing to lean initiatives and helping identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve shop‑floor processes.
* Supporting analysis of industrial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality, Safety & Logistics Support
* Helping ensure production and quality standards are maintained at all stations.
* Supporting the communication and application of EH&S rules and identifying near‑misses.
* Assisting with the prioritisation of materials linked to rework orders.
Tools, Jigs & Asset Support
* Assisting in creation or modification requests for new tools, jigs and small tooling repairs.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering experience and a passion for problem‑solving.
Essential Experience
* Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, aviation, production or lineside environment.
* Strong understanding of production processes, engineering methods and technical issue resolution.
* A systematic, organised approach with excellent analytical and practical problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
