We are urgently recruiting experienced tutors to support looked-after children and asylum-seeking young people in Brighton & Hove. Role Overview We are seeking dedicated tutors to deliver high-quality, 1:1 tuition across a range of subjects and levels: * Primary (EYFS & KS1–KS2) * Secondary: English, Maths & Science * Functional Skills (Maths & English up to Level 2) Student Profile You will be supporting children and young people who: * Are looked-after or asylum seekers * Are working below age-related expectations * May have Special Educational Needs (SEN) including: * ADHD * Dyslexia * Dyscalculia * ODD * SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) * Often experience high anxiety and may be emotionally based school avoiders Requirements * Minimum 2 years UK teaching or tutoring experience * QTS and PGCE essential (Exception: ESOL tutors must hold a Level 5 ESOL qualification) * Strong understanding of SEN and trauma-informed approaches * Ability to build trust and engage vulnerable learners Details * Location: Brighton & Hove * Pay: £30 – £32.50 per hour * Hours: * Morning sessions (URGENT) * Afternoon sessions (URGENT) * After school * Commitment: 1–5 hours per student per week * Positions: Multiple tutors required Why Join Us? * Flexible working hours * Highly rewarding role supporting vulnerable young people * Opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ confidence and future
