Engineering & Maintenance Manager Featherstone About the role Reporting to the General Manager and a key member of the site leadership team, the Engineering & Maintenance Manager will undertake full responsibility for the Engineering function of all equipment at our Featherstone site, and be accountable for the management, motivation and development of the site Engineering Department. To lead and develop the engineering maintenance team in the delivery of all business objectives to agreed targets. To manage assets through their full life-cycle supporting performance, risk management and total cost of ownership. Focusing on the development and execution of a sustainable preventative maintenance programme to ensure all statutory equipment is maintained in compliance with the appropriate legislative authority requirements. To ensure all process and site service facilities equipment is safe, reliable and available to produce our products at the required quality at optimum cost. The role holder will be tasked with identifying and developing opportunities to work with existing third-party service contractors to find ways of reducing costs and increasing asset productivity. The focus is to deliver world-class Service in a fast-paced environment to delight the customer and grow our business. To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive involvement and engagement for the Engineering team. The engineering team is key to the success and continued improvement of site operations. Responsible for driving compliance of HSER standards using all Leadership in action tools. Direct Line Management of the First Line Engineering Management and Engineering Technical Team members including training & development, performance management, absence management, reporting and ensuring adequate cover within the team at all times. Ensuring the effective running of the Engineering Service function, making appropriate decisions for the downtime of critical plant allowing maintenance and Plant Engineers to assess the status of equipment and ensure it is fully functional and make planned repairs and upgrades. To manage and support the Engineering team in the development, justification & delivery of CAPEX budgets and projects. Proactively manage the development and ongoing review of the maintenance program and systems by developing measures and tracking KPIs for the engineering function.
