Role Overview
The client is a well‑established global engineering company. They are looking to bring on board a commissioning engineer to join their team. Candidates without BMS experience will receive full in‑house training. The majority of work is commercial, with occasional projects in other sectors.
Responsibilities
* Commission control systems for all plant and equipment connected to the client’s system.
* Communicate regularly with project management, providing progress reports and identifying issues that disrupt commissioning works.
* Work independently and as a team, liaising with subcontractors and clients to ensure correct execution of design.
* Configure project software and documentation, making modifications as necessary.
* Execute panel modification when necessary and deliver client demonstrations and user training.
Qualifications
* Technical Director reporting line.
* Experience with pre‑commissioning of controls and plant equipment.
* Knowledge of non‑proprietary protocols such as Modbus, mBus and BACnet is an advantage.
* Ability to meet project deadlines and commissioning objectives while working closely with the project manager.
* Key contact skills for liaising with subcontractors, clients and internal team members.
