What do we need Dotmatics is seeking an Accounts Specialist on a Fixed-Term Contract. In this role you will assist the accounting team in performing fundamental operational tasks required to run an accounting environment, such as creating journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, facilitating payables and ad-hoc & special projects as required. This role will be a shared resource between general ledger accounting and accounting operations. In this role you will get to: Perform the daily bank reconciliation, daily cash application and associated JE process for all UK banking Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to support the month-end close process Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team; including entering vendor bills, following up on expense approvals, submitting payment files Support the Travel & Expenses accounting and reporting Contribute to the Account Receivable Team, including following up on aged collections, assisting with client inquiries, processing invoices Maintaining the internal controls for areas of responsibilities Assist with testing and implementation of system improvements & implement accounting procedures. We are looking for people who have a strong background in accounting or finance and with a minimum of 2 years working in a similar role. You will be a strong team player, with a proven ability to work independently and exhibit a sense of urgency.
