Our client is a leading global agency specializing in employee reward/engagement, sales incentives, and customer loyalty programs for international clients. They have experienced exponential growth recently and continue to expand organically. They are seeking a Business Development Director for a traditional hunter-oriented sales role, where customer intimacy and consultative solution-based selling are key to success.
Responsibilities:
* Achieve and exceed personal sales targets.
* Engage prospects through prospecting, cold calling, social media, lead follow-up, opportunity qualification, and closing sales.
* Focus initially on selling one primary solution to prospects and/or targeting mid-sized organizations.
* Follow up on leads from marketing activities, managing the entire sales process to closing.
* Develop detailed strategic account plans, stakeholder maps, client insights, and conduct research to support sales objectives.
* Collaborate with SME's to create compelling and profitable solutions for new clients.
* Utilize CRM to record all contacts and opportunities.
* Contribute to sales and business planning.
* Proactively cold call and prospect target accounts.
* Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline supporting growth goals across solutions.
* Generate high sales activity levels and meet KPIs such as meetings, outreach, relationship building, and cold calls.
* Create proposals with colleagues that differentiate the company and win profitable business.
* Develop strategic partnerships and client relationships.
* Upsell and cross-sell within existing client base to grow new business.
Skills Required:
* Over 10 years of experience selling B2B solutions to medium and large clients.
* Proven accountability for new business targets, exceeding sales goals, maximizing profits, and closing deals over £1m.
* Experience selling complex solutions with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
* Self-driven, proactive hunter with success in converting leads and generating outbound prospecting.
* Experience selling to HR, Sales, and Marketing leaders preferred.
* Background in employee engagement, reward, sales incentives, and loyalty sectors.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for building internal and external relationships.
* Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—delivering clear, engaging messages.
* Tenacity, resilience, and determination.
* Proficiency with CRM, MS Office, and related technology.
