Owen Daniels are partnered with a global Aerospace manufacturer, who are seeking a EHS Manager on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be accountable for embedding and sponsoring the EHS Model across 2 sites, ensuring procedures and documentation are current and effective, and providing management with expert advice to meet statutory, moral, and best-practice obligations. Also responsible for project managing ESG activities across both sites.

Job Description
* Establish and govern daily routines to prevent serious injury, ill health, and environmental incidents.
* Promote strong employee participation to identify and close hazards through Walk the Floor routines and pre-task risk assessments, focusing on high-risk activities.
* Regularly review procedures, risk assessments, training, equipment, and work environments for effectiveness.
* Develop and implement delegated Walk the Floor routines to meet HSE performance targets and standards.
* Maintain a structured audit program with defined checks and frequencies involving operations, management, EHS, and external specialists.
* Plan and conduct Job Safety Observations on a rolling schedule, including critical safety processes.
* Ensure timely, thorough investigations and follow-up of incidents, near misses, health, environmental, and security concerns.
* Increase employee engagement through initiatives such as Accident-Free Months and EHS awareness events.
* Coordinate departments across both sites to deliver EcoVadis targets aligned with the strategy.
* Monitor and implement relevant ESG requirements, including SBTi and UN SDGs.
EHS Compliance
* Maintain EHS management systems at both sites in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
* Ensure ongoing audit readiness through effective EHS processes, procedures, and Walk the Floor routines.
* Keep all EHS documentation fit for purpose and verify its effective application.
* Report audit findings and manage corrective actions with the leadership team.
* Provide independent EHS advice, technical guidance, and updates on legislation and best practice.
* Deliver EHS training aligned to company policies and procedures.
* Establish and implement standard governance routines to achieve short- and long-term EHS objectives.

Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
* Must be NEBOSH qualified
* Strong knowledge/experience of ISO45001 and ISO14001
* Experience leading or managing teams
* Auditing experience
* Must have a valid UK driving license and be willing to frequently travel between sites
