About Us:
Colne Valley Group are M&E Contractors with a dedicated in-house Design Department based in our Colchester office and we are looking to further expand our current Design team and we require a detail-oriented Technical Assistant.
The Role:
As a Technical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) engineers with the preparation of technical documents, drawings, and project coordination tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in building services engineering and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic consultancy environment.
Full time 9am-5pm ideally, but part time will be considered
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist engineers with the preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
* Support development and coordination
* Manage revised drawings and information in and out of the business
* Compile and manage technical documentation, reports, and project files.
* Help maintain internal systems for document control and project tracking.
What We're Looking For:
* A keen interest in building services and the construction industry.
* Familiarity with range of Microsoft office tools
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive and collaborative attitude.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a similar technical or administrative role within engineering or construction.
* Knowledge of building services systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
