Mechanical Estimator
Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE)Location: Chelmsford - Office based (Flexible Working Possible)
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing and well-established business delivering high-quality commercial and retail projects.
This role would suit someone who is confident in mechanical estimating and is now looking to progress into a position with greater autonomy, responsibility, and influence, while still being fully supported by a team of highly qualified engineers and experienced business leaders.
The Role
* Preparing mechanical tenders for commercial and retail projects
* Typical tender values averaging around £2 million
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and client requirements
* Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
* Working closely with engineers, commercial teams, and senior management
* Contributing to value engineering and tender strategy discussions
About You
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator (or similar role)
* Background in commercial and/or retail construction projects
* Strong understanding of mechanical building services
* Comfortable working with a degree of independence
* Ambitious and keen to continue developing your career
