Job Title: Construction Contracts Manager

Overview:
The Construction Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. Working for a main contractor, the Contracts Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing contractual and commercial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage multiple construction contracts to ensure profitable and timely delivery.
* Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Review contracts, variations, and events.
* Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
* Administer contractual obligations
* Lead and motivate project teams, including site managers, design teams and subcontractors.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
* Prepare and submit progress reports, and facilitate client meetings.
* Produce construction programmes
* Utilise company's project management software
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
Scope of Work:
* Managing construction contracts valued from £250k to £10 million.
* Ensuring projects adhere to legal, safety, and environmental standards.
* Overseeing both pre-construction planning and on-site delivery phases.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for contractual matters.
* Supporting commercial teams in pricing and bidding for future projects.
* Driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in construction contract management in the UK.
* Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, and other standard form contracts.
* Excellent project management, problem solving, and communication skills.
* Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, degree).
* Health & Safety qualification (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS).

* Reports to: Director
* Works Alongside: Commercial Manager
* Manages: Site Managers, Clients, Consultants and Contract Administrators

Pay: £85,000.00 per year
