Are you a recent graduate, college leaver, or someone looking to start a career in finance? This is your chance to join a supportive and growing business where you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full finance function.

We’re looking for someone with a head for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and the ambition to learn. You’ll receive full training, work alongside experienced finance professionals, and have the opportunity to progress towards an accounting qualification - all while contributing to real projects from day one.

Whether you’ve just finished university, completed your A-Levels, or are looking to pivot into finance, we’ll give you the skills, experience, and support to thrive.

This will support the Finance Team with Sales Ledger transactions, including sales, receipts and payments allocations, and to support in dealing with Purchase Ledger transactions including Invoice Processing.

An idea of what you'll be doing:

When you join you will go through our top-notch induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through our in-house training academy.

Sales ledger duties:



· Creating/Processing Sales invoices for the O&M business, and support in raising invoices for projects

· Allocating daily client receipts into accounting system and project systems within Procore

· Debt collection – communicating with customers on invoices due for payment

· Participating in finance meetings

· Other ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required



Purchase ledger duties:



· Processing Purchase/Supplier invoices

· Creating payment batches and issuing remittance advices

· Accessing supplier online portals for invoice/statement documentation

· Checking and ensuring supplier statements are reconciled to internal systems.

Other:



· Prepare and distribute financial documentation internally and externally

· Ensure finance procedures are followed, work with colleagues to promote understanding of required processes, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

· Using accounting systems to maintain accounts and conduct audits to ensure accuracy of data

· Conduct financial data entry tasks and maintain organised filing systems

· Process credit / debit card transactions

· Support with invoice processing, expenses, payment batches, company cards and reconciliation.




Requirements

You’ll be a successful Junior Finance Assistant at Sinewave if you’re …

· Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.

· Excellent communication, including ability to adapt styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team, with ability to juggle priorities.

· Intermediate MS Excel skills

· High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail

· Good knowledge of business awareness

· Basic awareness of Xero Accounting Systems desirable

· Experience of a construction industry software an advantage

· Comply with all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, including the anti-bribery policy, while adhering to the Environmental and Quality Management

Experience and Qualifications

· Desire to start or progress an accounting qualification.

· GCSE/A-Level Maths (or equivalent).

· Degree/finance qualification desirable.

· Previous finance support experience desirable.

Requirements
When you join you will go through our top-notch induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through our in house training academy. You'll have a proven track record of: Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the public. Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS, and competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents. Ensuring personnel and your wider team understand duties under safety documents. Carrying out network operations under instruction from the Network Control Engineer. Understanding the local network anomalies and ensuring correct phase rotation. You'll already have experience & qualifications in: Currently hold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV including permit to work (accepting 11KV with extensive experience). CSCS (affiliated). The use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc. Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
