Lincolnshire Talking Therapies - Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners

Lincolnshire Talking Therapies has an exciting opportunity for three Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) based in Stamford, Spalding, or Louth. The role involves providing evidence-based interventions for individuals with mild to moderate common mental health problems.

The PWP, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, will assess and treat common mental health issues following NICE guidelines and using a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach. Treatment methods include computerised CBT, psycho-educational groups, and guided self-help, delivered as group or individual sessions via telephone, computer messaging, email, or face-to-face at the team base. Regular clinical supervision and case management support will be provided.

We seek motivated individuals qualified as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners with the IAPT Low Intensity training certificate in psychological therapies, registered with BABCP or BPS. Applicants must hold this qualification. The role requires working at least one evening session weekly, with possible Saturday shifts in the future.

Closing date: 18th May 2025
Interview date: 29th May 2025

Role Overview

The PWP will support individuals in self-managing their mental health, managing a clinical caseload, and providing high-volume, low-intensity psychological treatments. These include computerised CBT, psycho-educational courses, and guided self-help, delivered through various modalities adhering to NICE guidelines.

The post involves signposting patients to appropriate services, conducting risk and safeguarding assessments, maintaining accurate clinical records, attending team meetings, and adhering to activity schedules to ensure accessible and timely treatment.

Essential skills include computer literacy, excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and the ability to develop therapeutic relationships. Clinical supervision is provided weekly, with opportunities for career development.
