Perfusionist | Theatres | Spire St Anthony's Hospital | Private Hospital | Sutton | Part Time | Salary dependent on experience Spire St Anthony Hospital is looking for an experienced Perfusionist to join our dynamic and forward thinking Theatre team. Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities and procedures. Duties and responsibilities: - To set up and manage the heart-lung machine and its associated equipment during cardiothoracic surgery. - To provide a physiological measurement service as required in the cardiac operating theatre, using the available equipment. - To provide an Intra-Aortic Balloon pump service to all cardiac patients at St. Anthony's hospital. - To provide an autotransfusion service, as required, to all patients at St. Anthony's hospital. - To provide the patient with haemofiltration as and when required. - To provide a Thromboelastography service, including Platelet Mapping, as and when required. - To maintain records of all cardiopulmonary bypass procedures and the Data Management system to a high standard. - To ensure safe disposal of all contaminated, disposable equipment in a safe manner, according to health and safety guidelines. - To advise on and implement changes to perfusion practice where necessary. - To advise the surgical staff on new techniques and developments in perfusion. - To advise surgical staff on choice of equipment for unusual or complex procedures.
