About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Sunderland. This is a full-time temporary position, starting as soon as possible, teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students through dynamic and creative science lessons, helping them develop a lifelong interest in the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4 (any specialism – Biology, Chemistry, or Physics – welcomed).
* Assess, track, and support pupil progress effectively.
* Contribute to the Science department’s resources and development.
* Take part in wider school activities and uphold the school’s values.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Enthusiasm for inspiring young people and fostering a love of Science.
