The Manchester-based Financial Advisory team has led many of the largest and most complex assignments in the region over recent years. Notable projects include advising Studio Retail plc, Urban Splash Haus, Missguided Retail, and Broadway Fibre LLP. The team boasts a market-leading advisory presence, working with a broad range of clients including publicly listed and private companies, private equity firms, and lenders. Recent projects include advising McBride plc on refinancing, Matalan group on restructuring, and Eddie Stobart Logistics plc on a rescue transaction, along with various mid-market and confidential assignments. Opportunities also arise throughout the year to collaborate with the broader Teneo Financial Advisory practice on national and international projects.
As a Senior Consultant, you will support the leadership team with:
1. Client Service – Participating in project teams on diverse engagements, advising corporates, creditors, and financial stakeholders on Restructuring Advisory, Contingency Planning, and Insolvency projects.
2. Business Development – Assisting in business development activities and market outreach.
3. People and Leadership – Providing guidance and support to team members to foster an inclusive environment.

Client Service
* Contribute as a key team member on financial restructuring engagements, including managing junior staff.
* Produce high-quality deliverables within set timelines.

Key Skills & Experience
* Strong academic background at A-level or degree level.
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), both time and exam qualified.
* Analytical with strong IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
* Knowledge of Restructuring Services/Insolvency through relevant experience or transferrable skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for high-performance teamwork.
* Willingness to work under pressure, sometimes long hours, always prioritizing client needs.
* Flexibility to adapt skills to related areas like Debt Advisory or Performance Improvement if needed.
* Ambition to learn and grow professionally.
