Overview
A full time waiting list officer is required in the Endoscopy Unit. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly over five days as required by the service.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Endoscopy waiting list, ensuring no patients exceed the maximum wait time in line with local and national targets.
* Ensure patients receive timely admission information, liaising with Nursing and Medical teams where required.
* Report to the Office Manager and provide support with the selection and co-ordination of endoscopy patients.
* Support the management of the admissions process in line with the Waiting List Policy and RTT standards.
* Act as the central point of communication for all departments and staff (internal and Trust wide) regarding the admission of endoscopy patients.
* Work as part of the Endoscopy Waiting List team, liaising with the Bowel Screening Team, Endoscopy Reception Staff and the Endoscopy Service Manager to ensure Waiting List management and admission processes comply with Trust policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be the central point of communication for all departments and staff regarding admission of Endoscopy patients.
* Ability to work as part of a team and also to use own initiative.
* Essential: excellent typing skills and knowledge of NHS systems, such as Careflow and Bluespier.
