Your newpany is a local, family run building contractor based in Co. Antrim specialising in themercial, education, leisure and residential sectors, who now require a Health & Safety Advisor to join their experienced workforce across sites NI wide. With a busy orderbook and ongoing works covering the whole of Northern Ireland, thepany are steadily building upon their already impressive project portfolio and are now seeking the right individual to lead HSEQ.
Your new role
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing HSEQ on a range of small-medium sized construction schemes from private developments & social housing tomercial new builds & refurbishments.
You will be responsible for advising staff on all HSE matters, ensuringpany health and safety is implemented andplied with. You will be tasked with producing andpleting risk assessments & method statements alongside conducting site audits & inspections on a regular basis. Your time throughout the week will be split between head office in Co. Antrim and multiple construction sites from Greater Belfast through to North Antrim.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful for the role, you will have previous experience in a similar role within a construction environment. You’ll demonstrate a knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with an understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. Ideally you will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree. A degree in a construction related sector is advantageous.
As this is an independent role, you will befortable and confident in leading on all HSEQ matters. Those at Advisor level are still encouraged to apply.
