We are working with several secondary schools in Wellingborough seeking compassionate and dedicated SEND Assistants to join their teams on a long-term or permanent basis starting September 2025.
This is a wonderful opportunity for those who want to support pupils with additional needs, contribute to inclusive education, and work alongside experienced SEN teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with SEND in the classroom and during school activities
Assisting with personalised learning plans and adapting resources to meet individual needs
Helping students develop social, communication, and independent living skills
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to promote inclusive learning
Supporting behaviour management and ensuring a safe, supportive environment
Assisting with personal care and mobility where required
Keeping accurate records and reporting on student progress and wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
Genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND
Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Experience in education, childcare, or SEND support is desirable but not essential
Flexible, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact
Good communication skills and a calm, approachable manner
