Job Summary

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK’s largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for both residents and employees. We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Care Assistant at Seagrave House Care Home in Corby.


Main Duties

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. This will include assisting residents with their personal hygiene, recognising and understanding clinical risk areas, acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, and practising safe systems of work. No prior experience is required as Avery Healthcare provides a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within the role.

Package Description

Shift details: 4 shifts one week and 3 shifts the next week – working alternate weekends.


About the Role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.


Other Responsibilities

* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

Ideal Candidate

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be able to adapt and flexibly cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

* A DBS Disclosure check – the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
