We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Projects team.

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating costs for large-scale landscape construction projects. This will include reviewing plans, quantifying materials, labour, and equipment, and sourcing competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors. You will prepare accurate and detailed tender bids, identify and assess potential risks, and work closely with Project Consultants, providing them with all necessary support. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, based at our main offices in Dartford. We offer a competitive salary package depending on experience, and benefits including a profit-sharing scheme and opportunities for personal and professional progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately quantify materials required and obtain supplier quotations.
* Accurately allocate plant and machinery requirements.
* Accurately allocate labour requirements and obtain subcontractor quotations.
* Prepare highly detailed tender submissions.
* Determine missing details/information and lead communications to obtain this from clients.
* Attend site visits.
* Attend client meetings, both in person and virtually.
* Manage the estimating process within specified timeframes and keep all parties informed.
* Maintain clear, up-to-date records and documentation.
* Collaborate with team members, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders to secure projects.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with our Supply Chain.
* Demonstrate our values in everything you do.
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an estimating role, preferably within the Landscaping industry, or alternatively in Construction or Groundworks.
* Strong background in estimating and securing tenders.
* Experience using estimating programmes and take-off software, particularly Bluebeam.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Understanding of construction project risks and how to mitigate them.
* Highly organised and structured approach.
* Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
* Professional personality with strong communication and presentation skills.
* ‘On the tools’ experience is a bonus.
* Team player with a flexible attitude, self-motivated, and able to thrive in collaborative, target-driven environments.
