Job Responsibilities
* Complete key domestic duties daily to maintain a homely environment.
* Encourage development of interests and attitudes by planning, organising, and participating in activities.
* Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018. Assess individual needs and contribute to care and risk plans.
* Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with young people.
* Manage behaviour positively and assertively, working in line with care and risk management plans.
* Consult with young people to promote a healthy lifestyle.
* Motivate and assist young people in developing and maintaining positive networks with adults and peers, including families.
* Participate in developing, implementing, and reviewing care packages through team meetings and supervisions.
* Attend and advocate for young people in child care reviews. Role requires 24/7 commitment, including weekends and bank holidays. Sleep-in duties are part of the flexible rota.
* Support young people who may be vulnerable, requiring experience in this area.
* Work independently with high accuracy, maintaining clear and neat records.
* Possess good interpersonal skills and be a positive team player.
* Have intermediate computer skills.
* Complete daily records meeting statutory and policy requirements.
* Display an empathetic nature.
* Communicate effectively in various contexts, both orally and in writing.
* Engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
Salary and Benefits
* Unqualified: £27,519.96 base salary, up to £32,919.96 with sleep-in shifts.
* Qualified (Level 5 diploma or equivalent): £28,128.36 base salary, up to £33,528.36 with sleep-in shifts.
* 39 hours per week with shift pattern.

* £45 per night sleep-in allowance, averaging 8-10 sleeps per month.
