Role Overview
The Manufacturing Specialist works in a cleanroom environment, operating state‑of‑the‑art machinery to produce recording heads. Work is on a 12‑hour rotating shift cycle (days, nights, weekends) with an average of 42 hours per week and a 25% shift allowance. Total annual earnings are £37,564.80.
Responsibilities
* Operate a variety of machines in a 24/7 production environment.
* Perform machine‑tending operations to optimise utilisation and meet production goals.
* Work within a cell of 3‑4 people on shift or independently as required.
* Follow all health & safety rules and wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Meet departmental quality targets and performance goals.
* Contribute to team success and identify problems.
* Assist in simplifying or improving procedures, techniques or processes.
* Adhere to documentation systems used in production.
* Observe cleanroom and wafer‑handling etiquette.
* Utilise tools to their optimum level and undertake training as required.
* Complete a 3‑month probationary period following full training.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year of previous work experience or 6‑12 months of manufacturing/production experience.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Team player with strong communication skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Basic computer skills.
* Able to work 12‑hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
* Highly motivated and passionate about team success.
