We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join a leading Housing Association. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in gas installations, repairs, and services. This role requires a hands‑on approach, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient gas systems. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality service while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Based in Salisbury and surrounding areas (Andover & Amesbury).
* Carry out gas servicing, repairs and installation for customers in a timely manner while maintaining the highest quality standards.
* Provide excellent customer service and ensure safety, working in accordance with Gas Safety legislation and Health & Safety policies.
* Primarily carry out boiler repairs and servicing alongside installation work when required; work closely with the team and support them as needed.
* Act as an ambassador for the organisation, demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude and providing a high‑quality, ‘right‑first‑time’ service to customers.
* Receive company uniform, van with van vault, racking and inverter, fuel card, company tablet & mobile, and requisite PPE.
* Supply own hand tools and power tools.
* Cover out‑of‑hours callouts on a rota basis; a clean driving licence is a must.

Requirements
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer in social housing.
* At least 5–6 years qualified.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various gas systems effectively.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to the trade.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
* Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during work tasks.
* A valid driving licence.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
