Learner Support Hub Manager and Non-Teaching Head of Year (Ysgol Calon Cymru)
Job description
Non-Teaching Head of Lower Campus (Year 7-9)
35 hours per week/ 39 weeks per year
1-Year Fixed-term Contract
We are looking for a highly motivated Head of Lower Campus who is keen to make a difference to the education and learning experiences of all our students.
The Head of Lower Campus for Years 7 to 9 will lead the drive to ensure every young person gets the support they need to succeed in all areas of learning. By working closely with subject leaders, they will use data and evidence to spot where learners may be falling behind and put in place the right support to help them get back on track. A key focus will be making sure all pupils are ready for the next stage of their journey—whether that's further study, training or the world of work.
Alongside academic progress, the role is central to supporting the wider development of our learners. The Head of Lower Campus will work with colleagues across the pastoral and wellbeing teams to help pupils build confidence, stay engaged, and develop positive attitudes to learning. This includes supporting good attendance and behaviour, reducing the risk of exclusion, and promoting a culture where all pupils feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
